German sports car maker, Porsche is recalling its 911 Carrera-S and 4S models sold in China this month.
According to the firm's recall-report submitted to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, these versions of 911's were made between April 2004 and October 2005. Porsche says wielding on the exhaust pipe could weaken, causing the tips to vibrate, then loosen and fall off the tailpipe. It says it will install new exhaust tips with improved wielding seams, free of charge. The company only has 60 of the two 911 Carrera models in the Chinese market.
