A fierce air campaign against Iraq started on Tuesday, with some elite Iraqi Republican Guard units under attack in five continuous bombing waves.
The coalition forces are hitting Baghdad for five straight days. In the latest attack, US war planes targeted the Republican Guard units. It also warned that the Iraqi forces might use chemical weapons against the coalition forces.
Earlier in the day, six large explosions were heard in the capital and coalition warplanes were seen flying over Baghdad.
