As the two civilizations, China and India have a long tradition of friendly exchanges and contacts. As a part of the exchange programs between the two countries, an exhibition called “Soul of the India – Sculpture is under way in Beijing. The exhibition has brought to Chinese audience about 80 ancient sculptures from the India Museum in Calcutta.
To discuss the exhibition and the culture exchanges between the two countries in general, we are joined now by Mr. S. Menon, Indian Ambassador to China, Mr. Wang Yong, deputy director of Institute of Fine Arts of CAA and Mr. Liu Jian, a researcher at the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies of CASS.
