 After one year’s preparation, the 4th International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians (ITCYM) was held late October in Xiamen, a coastal city in southern China, in Fujian province. One hundred and fifty young musicians from around 22 countries and regions participated in this contest. To have a better idea of this event, we are honored to have an interview with Yin Chengzong, a renowned Chinese American musician, as well as president of the jury for the fourth international Tchaikovsky Competition.
