Following is the list of the official FIFA awards for the 2002 World Cup:
Adidas Golden Shoe Award:
The adidas Golden Shoe Award goes to the top goalscorer of the 2002 World Cup. Points are awarded on the basis of three points for a goal scored and one for an assist. The FIFA Technical Study Group will decide whether an assist is to be counted as such and the assists will only be counted if two or more players are equal on goals scored.
Adidas Golden Ball:
The adidas Golden Ball will be awarded to the most outstanding player of the 2002 World Cup final competition, as voted by the accredited media present at the World Cup. The vote will be organized at the end of the World Cup by adidas, and the results will be announced in conjunction with the FIFA Communciation Division after the conclusion of the competition.
FIFA Fair Play Award
The FIFA Fair Play award will be given to the team with the best record of fair play according to the points system and criteria established by the FIFA Fair Play Committee.
FIFA Award for the Most Entertaining Team
The FIFA Award for the Most Entertaining Team is a new accolade for the 2002 World Cup that will be a subjectively awarded prize for the team which has done the most to entertain the public with a positive approach to the game. The award will be organized through public participation in a poll on the official website of the 2002 World Cup, FIFAworldcup. com.
Yashin Award for the Best Goalkeeper
The Yashin Award for the Best Goalkeeper is named in honor of the late Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin. The FIFA Technical Study Group will recognize the top goalkeeper of the tournament based on the player's performance throughout the final competition.
