Depsite continuous disputes over the refereeing at the 2002 World Cup, FIFA will not adopt video replays in the near furture to reduce the mistakes made by referees.
"This has been suggested and discussed many time before. The matter is not on FIFA's agenda," FIFA spokesman Keith Cooper told a daily briefing here on Sunday.
"Should there be further huge advances in techonology and video refereeing would be considered."
However, Cooper said referees will not resort to video replays upon making every decision.
"It would be used to determine one thing: whether the ball has or has not crossed the goalline," he said.
