Despite controversies over some referee decisions, FIFA is generally satisfied with the performance of referees at the World Cup finals, FIFA spokesman Keith Cooper said in Seoul on Sunday.
As human beings, referees also make mistakes, but there have been no cases of unfairness so far, Cooper told a daily briefing.
In what is seen as one of refereeing controversies in the tournament, Italy netted two goals, but were disallowed as they lost 2-1 to Croatia Saturday.
After the match, the Italian team reportedly threatened to appeal against the refereeing.
Another controversy is over South Korean referee Kim Young-joo who officiated the Brazil-Turkey match on June 3.
