The World Cup has finally come to an end, with golden boy Ronaldo scoring twice to win for Brazil. They beat the Germans two nil and Ronaldo brings his goal tally to eight in seven matches. It's the fifth World Cup for Brazil.
The first half was a cautious game, with the Germans controlling the midfield and the Brazilians missing a number of chances. And at the start of the second half the Germans hit the bar twice but couldn't do any more.
But at last, in the 67th minute, Ronaldo netted the ball after a rebound off German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn. 12 minutes later, he scored his eighth of the tournament with a well-angled right footer.
And that was it. The South Americans had no trouble keeping the score as it was and have again proved to the world their claim to be a nation of football masters.
