Turkey coach Senol Gunes thinks it is possible for Turkey to play South Korea in the World Cup final.
"This has been an exemplary World Cup. There has been a great impact of teams with less experience, like Turkey, like South Korea, like Senegal and like Japan. South Korea-Turkey in the final, why not?," he said after Turkey beat Senegal on a golden goal by Ilhan Mansiz on Saturday.
Turkey will face four-time champions Brazil in the semi-final in Saitama, while South Korea meet three-time winners Germany.
Gunes hailed Saturday's victory "once of the most important days in Turkish history".
"We controlled the game very well. We did what we wanted, controlling all parts of game. But we were not able to convert our chances," said Gunes, who sent Mansiz to replace captain Hakan Suker in the late second half.
"Hakan Suker is one of Turkey's best players. He had contributed a lot in the past. He was a bit unlucky today."
Gunes said Mansiz "played his part, everyone played their part".
The coach said the match in Saitama is a "50-50" affair.
